Dice Poker
Classic Yahtzee: 5 dice, 13 turns. Each turn roll up to 3 times, hold the dice you like, then bank the score into one of 13 categories. Hunt the 50-point Yahtzee and the +35 upper bonus!
Dice Poker is the classic five-dice game of luck and calculated risk, played across 13 turns. Every roll is a fresh gamble: do you lock in a safe score or push for something bigger? The hunt for the elusive 50-point Yahtzee and that juicy upper-section bonus keeps every game tense right down to the last category.
How to play
On each of your 13 turns you roll all five dice, then re-roll up to two more times, holding any dice you want to keep between rolls. When you're happy — or out of rolls — bank the result into one of the 13 scoring categories, from simple number totals to full houses and straights. Each category can only be used once, so every choice matters.
Tips
- Chase the upper-section bonus by banking three or more of each number early — the +35 reward is worth planning around.
- Don't waste a great roll on a low-value box; save flexible dice for the categories that pay big.
- Use the Chance category as a safety net for an awkward roll rather than zeroing out a scoring box.
- Know when to gamble the third roll for a Yahtzee versus locking in a guaranteed straight or full house.
