Asteroids
Fly a triangular ship that rotates and thrusts with momentum, blasting drifting asteroids. Big rocks split into smaller ones — clear them all to reach the next wave!
Asteroids is a faithful take on the arcade classic, built around momentum. You pilot a small triangular ship that rotates and thrusts through open space, and because there is no friction, every burst of the engine sends you drifting long after you let go. Blasting a big rock does not remove it so much as multiply your problems, since it splits into smaller pieces that keep on tumbling toward you.
How to play
Rotate the ship with the left and right arrows (or A and D), and press up or W to thrust forward, keeping in mind the inertia that keeps you gliding. Press Space to fire. On a phone, use the on-screen rotate, thrust, and fire buttons. Big asteroids break into two medium ones, mediums into two small ones, and small ones vanish. Clear them all to reach the next wave without crashing.
Tips
- Both your ship and your bullets wrap around the screen edges, so use that to flank rocks.
- Smaller asteroids are worth more points than the big ones.
- After respawning you get a few seconds of invulnerability, so use them to reposition.
- Feather your thrust in short taps rather than holding it to avoid runaway drift.

Objective
Blast every asteroid to clear the wave. A large asteroid splits into 2 medium, medium into 2 small, small is destroyed. Keep 3 lives — don't let your ship crash into an asteroid.
Controls
- Arrow keys ← → or A D to rotate the ship
- ↑ or W to thrust forward (momentum — the ship drifts)
- Space to fire
- On phone: use the on-screen rotate / thrust / fire buttons
Tips
- The ship and bullets wrap around the screen edges
- Small asteroids score more than large ones
- You are briefly invulnerable after respawning — use it to dodge
