Untangle
Drag the vertices until no two edges cross. The graph always has a planar solution.
Untangle is a quietly addictive graph puzzle about turning chaos into order. You're handed a tangled web of points and lines where edges cross all over the place, and your job is to rearrange the points until nothing overlaps. There's a real sense of calm satisfaction when the final crossing disappears.
How to play
Drag the vertices around the board to reposition them. Each move shifts the lines connected to that point, and your goal is to arrange everything so that no two edges cross. Every puzzle is guaranteed to have a planar solution, so a tangle-free layout always exists.
Tips
- Spread the points out widely first to see the structure before fine-tuning.
- Fix the most crossed-over vertices first; moving them clears the biggest knots.
- Try to preserve loops and clusters as recognisable shapes rather than scattering them.
- Work in from the outside, settling outer points before untangling the crowded middle.
If untangling logic appeals to you, rotate pipes in NetWalk or connect the dots in Flow.
Objective
Move the vertices until NO two edges cross each other.
Controls
- Drag a vertex to move it
Tips
- Red edges are crossing, green edges are clear
- Pull vertices to the edges to spread out the tangle in the middle
