Mahjong Solitaire
Match pairs of identical tiles to clear the multi-layer board. Only free tiles — not covered and open on the left or right edge — can be selected.
Mahjong Solitaire is a relaxing tile-matching puzzle played on a stacked, multi-layer board. Instead of racing a clock, you work methodically, spotting pairs of identical tiles and lifting them away layer by layer until the whole arrangement dissolves. It's a quietly absorbing game that rewards patience and a good eye for what to clear next.
How to play
Tap a free tile to select it, then tap a second free tile with the same face to remove both. A tile is free only when nothing covers it and one side — left or right — is open. Clear every tile to win. If you run out of moves you can shuffle, and a hint will point out an available pair when you're stuck.
Tips
- Always check the rule for a free tile: not covered, and open on the left OR right edge.
- Remove tiles from the highest layers and outer edges first to unlock the ones trapped beneath.
- Plan a few pairs ahead so you don't strand a tile you'll need later.
- Lean on shuffles and hints sparingly — using fewer of them earns a higher score.
If quiet matching puzzles are your thing, try Memory Match or wire up the grid in NetWalk.
