Nonogram
Fill cells according to the number clues on each row and column to reveal a hidden picture. Pure deduction.
Nonogram is a pure logic puzzle where numbers along the rows and columns hide a picture. There is no guessing and no luck — just careful deduction, one filled square at a time, until an image slowly emerges from the grid. It has the satisfying, meditative pull of a good crossword.
How to play
Each number clue tells you the length of a run of filled cells, listed in order. Tap a cell to fill it in Fill mode, or switch with the ✕ button to mark cells you know are empty (right-click also marks ✕). Cross-reference the row and column clues until every square is accounted for and the hidden picture is complete.
Tips
- Start with the biggest clues on the longest lines — they leave the least wiggle room and often force guaranteed cells.
- Actively mark known-empty cells with ✕; ruling out spaces is just as powerful as filling them.
- Look for overlaps: when a run is long relative to its line, the middle cells must be filled no matter where the run sits.
- Alternate between rows and columns constantly — a fill in one direction frequently unlocks a deduction in the other.
