Four in a Row
Drop discs into columns and line up four of your colour (row, column or diagonal) before the computer.
Four in a Row is the classic drop-and-connect duel, played here against the computer. The rules take seconds to learn, yet the game hides real depth: because discs stack from the bottom of each column, every move you make also hands your opponent a new option. It is a great pick for a short, sharp battle of wits between rounds of heavier games.
How to play
Tap a column to drop one of your blue discs, which falls to the lowest open slot. Take turns with the computer trying to line up four of your color in a row, whether horizontal, vertical, or diagonal. The first side to connect four wins, so you are always weighing your own threats against the ones you need to block.
Tips
- Claim the center column early, since it feeds into the most possible winning lines.
- Block the moment the computer gets three in a row with an open end.
- Watch for diagonals, which are the easiest threats to overlook.
- Try to set up two threats at once so your opponent can only stop one.
