Reversi
Classic 8x8 Reversi (Othello). Place discs to outflank and flip your opponent's discs; whoever has more discs when no moves remain wins.
Reversi, also known as Othello, is a deceptively deep board game on an 8×8 grid where the balance of power can flip on a single move — literally. Discs are two-sided, and each placement can turn a whole row of your opponent's pieces to your colour. The lead swings back and forth constantly, so the disc count you see mid-game rarely predicts the winner.
How to play
Highlighted cells show your legal moves. Tap one to place a disc so that it brackets a straight line of opponent discs — horizontal, vertical, or diagonal — between your new disc and another of your own, flipping every disc in between to your colour. When the board fills or neither side can move, whoever holds more discs wins. If you have no legal move your turn is simply skipped.
Tips
- The four corners are gold: once taken they can never be flipped and anchor the surrounding area.
- Avoid the squares diagonally next to a corner early, as they often hand the corner to your opponent.
- Having fewer discs in the midgame is often good — it keeps your options open for a strong endgame.
- Watch for moves that leave your opponent no reply, forcing them to pass.

Objective
Bracket a straight line (horizontal/vertical/diagonal) of opponent discs between your new disc and one of your existing discs to flip them all to your color. When the board is full or neither side can move, whoever has more discs wins.
